Elysia & Wes vintage wedding at the Whitney in Detroit on May 22, 2009 was an amazing event! The couple rented the entire Whitney mansion for the day and far into the night! Guest accommodations where made at the
Westin Book Cadillac.
The weather made a perfect setting for their outside garden Michigan ceremony, complete with a garden cocktail hour and the Whitney's fantastic 6 course meal. The guests where entertained with background, mood setting music by Joe Summers Quartet. Floral decor from Heidi's Old Village Florist in Plymouth created an ambiance for this truly spectacular event. I had the delight of working with bride Elysia for over a year planning her venue from her temporary home in the United Arab Emirates. She was thee most remarkable and creative bride! Elysia had a vision and it was my pleasure to assist her with that.
After the wonderful dinner on the main floor it was time to rock on the second and third floor with a wonderful record spinning DJ Brian
Rozman playing a mix of music that kept everyone dancing until 2 am!
Whitney staff served up a Detroit favorite at midnight of
coney dogs and sloppy
joe's. This wedding was defiantly outside the box thanks to all the great vendor's including
MPE in Livonia, Nicole
DeSalvio my contact at the Whitney for the past year, her great staff and BEAUTIFUL photo's by Silver Thumb Photography and most of all to Elysia, who is truly a champion bride that every wedding planner should have the pleasure of working with for a year planning this amazing event! Congratulations to Elysia & Wes I wish them a lifetime of happiness and can't wait for the next re wedding when they renew their vows!
